jars. You have to remove all the dirt and rinse them with hot water. You
can also use detergents to clean it.
- When the jam is cooling, you
have to boil the jars in a hot water bath. You can keep it for few minutes
to sterilize. Remove each jar and fill the jam about one-fourth, and then
cap a lid in it. Now place a band around the jar and tighten this before
placing the jar back in the hot water bath.
- Now keep all the jars again
into the hot water bath and covered this with about 2 inches of water. You
can keep the jars inside the water starting from 5 to 15 minutes.
- After that, remove the jars
from the boiling water and place them on the wooden cutting board. You can
also keep this on any other heatproof surface. Now keep it aside for
cooling and loosen the band.
